Lake County Run 4/2/23

This mornings run was really good. I’m finally starting to be able to head out without any of the lower back pain. I also tend to feel a little bit of pain in my right knee from a high school tear in my ACL, MCL and Meniscus. The weird thing was after my warmup and starting to run the pain seemed to disappear. Hoping that running will help improve strength in a few areas.

For more information about the run including cadence and pace check out the Garmin Connect graphs and info:

I also tried out a new piece of gear for my runs and hopefully for biking. One of my friends recommended SHOKZ OpenRun headphones. The headphones use bone conduction to allow runners to listen to music while not blocking the ear canal. This means you can hear other runners, cars, and hazards while running. The sound quality is really good in the mids and highs. The bass is not the best from what I’ve heard so far. The small tradeoff in bass is worth it to me to be more aware of my surroundings.
